Schnabel was contracted by Housing Vermont to design and install a permanent soldier pile and tieback wall to support a failing gabion wall at an existing condominium complex. A total of 64 soldier piles and 71 tiebacks were used to arrest lateral movements of the failing wall and successfully transfer earth loads into the new retention system. Close coordination with the HOA was required to maintain resident access while completing the work. The project was completed on time to the client’s satisfaction.
