Schnabel, in collaboration with the ADSC, is excited to announce Josh Hutchins from Group West as the recipient of the 2024 Mark Camire Award! The Mark Camire Award was created as a memorial to a longstanding Schnabel employee who lost his life in a construction accident. Every year, it is presented to a Schnabel employee who displays high moral character, is hardworking, and has a dedication and passion for their craft. Josh has not only met these standards but has also exceeded them.
This year, Josh celebrates his 10-year anniversary with Schnabel. Throughout the past decade, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and versatility, earning recognition as a “jack of all trades.” His expertise covers a wide range of equipment, including tieback drills, ABI Vibro rigs, casing manipulators, and grouting equipment. Josh’s deep understanding of Schnabel’s operations has made him an invaluable asset on any project. In particular, his expertise in jet grouting has led him to become one of the company’s leading experts, with contributions to many projects nationwide.
Josh’s supervisors and team members have consistently noted his commitment to safety and efficiency. He approaches every task with a focus on completing the work safely and effectively, ensuring that procedures are clear, and hazards are properly mitigated. His dedication to the well-being of his crew is commendable.
Josh’s nomination for the Camire Award reflects not just one positive trait, but a consistent pattern of actions that align with our company’s safety philosophy: “Don’t hurt yourself, don’t hurt anyone else, and don’t let anyone hurt you.” As part of this recognition, Josh will receive a $2,500 educational scholarship to further enhance his safety expertise, along with an engraved plaque and additional gifts.
Congratulations, Josh!
