LEVEE AND DAM CASE STUDIES
Dresden Lock & Dam Permanent Concrete Anchors | Morris, IL
Schnabel contributed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’s Dresden Island Lock & Dam restoration project by installing permanent concrete anchors to support the construction of new miter gates on the east side of the lock and dam structure. In the project, Schnabel installed 32 permanent concrete anchors.
KYTC Panbowl Lake | Jackson, KY
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) contracted with Schnabel to design and install a permanent secant pile water cutoff wall to address stability and erosion issues affecting the Panbowl Lake Dam due to severe flooding. The secant pile water cutoff wall will help to prevent any future damage to the dam.
