NC-143 Beech Creek to Appalachian Trail | Robbinsville, NC
Schnabel was contracted to design and install 189,000 SF of permanent soil nail retaining walls and temporary shoring along the widened NC-143 in Robbinsville, NC. The wall and the landbridge being installed by Blalock Construction will allow hikers and wildlife to safely cross the highway above the traffic flow.

I-275/SR93 Franklin Bridge | Tampa, FL
Schnabel installed 130,000 SF of steel sheet piling and 550 rotary PI tiebacks into a sandy fill soil along Tampa Bay. The wall supports the widening of I-275 and the addition of a bike path and pedestrian path next to the bay. The project is an extension of the Howard Franklin Bridge Replacement for the Florida DOT.
